Grass Roof Eco House at Woodingdean

Built on a hillside in a rear garden, with stepped ‘green sedum roofs’ this eco house is barely visible in the landscape and the green footprint is maintained.

Local, environmentally friendly and recycled materials were used where possible. Other sustainable measures included rainwater harvesting, natural lighting (including sunpipes), natural ventilation and photovoltaics. Orientation maximises solar gains and views.
